Lord Narsimha is one of the vibrant manifestations of Lord Vishnu. Although this form of Lord is Satvik by nature, His manifestation possesses the qualities of extreme action or Rajas. The Narasimha Kavacha Stotra is a profoundly powerful Sanskrit hymn originating from the Brahmanda Purana, and is said to have been spoken by Prahlada Maharaja, the fearless child devotee of Lord Narasimha, the half-man, half-lion incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The word "kavacha" means armor or shield, and this hymn is meant to protect the devotee from all dangers, fears, and negative influences. This sacred hymn is revered as the "Mantra-Rāja"—the king of all mantras—due to its immense potency in bestowing protection, prosperity, and spiritual elevation. It is believed that one who chants this kavacha with devotion is granted all material opulences and spiritual strength, and ultimately attains higher realms, including the heavenly planets or Vaikuntha. Before reciting the stotra, it is recommended to first meditate deeply on the transcendental form of Lord Narasimha, especially as vividly described in verses 3 to 6 of the stotra. These verses portray His fierce yet divine appearance, evoking a mood of both awe and surrender. By invoking Lord Narasimha’s protection through this stotra, devotees align themselves with divine shelter, transcending fear, negativity, and illusion. There are two Kavachas of Lord Narasimha. One is from Brahmanda Purana and one is from Brahma Samhita.

॥विनियोग॥ ॐ अस्य श्रीलक्ष्मीनृसिंहकवचमन्त्रस्य व्यासप्रह्लाद ऋषिः, नृसिंहों देवता, अनुष्टुपच्छंद, सर्वव्यापिस्तंभवाय इति बीजाम्, श्रीः शक्तिः गुह्यरूपधृग् इति कीलकम्, श्रीनृसिंह प्रीत्यर्थे श्रीलक्ष्मीनृसिंहकवचस्तोत्रमन्त्रराज विनियोगः।

॥viniyoga॥ oṃ asya śrīlakṣmīnṛsiṃhakavacamantrasya vyāsaprahlāda ṛṣiḥ, nṛsiṃhoṃ devatā, anuṣṭupacchaṃda, sarvavyāpistaṃbhavāya iti bījām, śrīḥ śaktiḥ guhyarūpadhṛg iti kīlakam, śrīnṛsiṃha prītyarthe śrīlakṣmīnṛsiṃhakavacastotramantrarāja viniyogaḥ।

ॐ श्री लक्ष्मी नरसिम्हा कवच मंत्र जिसके ऋषि व्यास प्रह्लाद हैं, देवता नरसिम्हा हैं, बीज अनुष्टुपच्छंद है, बीज सर्वव्यापिस्टंभवाय है, कीलक श्री शक्ति गुह्यरुपधृग है, मैं इस स्तोत्र का जप श्री लक्ष्मी नरसिम्हा की प्रसन्नता के लिए कर रहा हूँ।

Om Shri Lakshmi Narasimha Kavach Mantra, whose sage is Vyas Prahlad, deity is Narasimha, seed is Anushtupachchand, seed is Sarvavyapisthambhavaya, key is Shri Shakti Guhyarupadhriga, I am chanting this stotra to please Shri Lakshmi Narasimha.

॥अथ ध्यानम्॥
कर्पूरधामबलं कटकाङ्गदादि-छत्रं त्रिनेत्रशशिशेखरमण्डितास्यम्।
वामाङ्कसंस्थितरमानयनाभिरामं चक्राब्जशङ्खसगदं नृहरि नमामि॥
नमस्कृत्य गणाधीशं सर्वविघ्ननिवारणम्।

॥atha dhyānam॥
karpūradhāmabalaṃ kaṭakāṅgadādi-chatraṃ trinetraśaśiśekharamaṇḍitāsyam।
vāmāṅkasaṃsthitaramānayanābhirāmaṃ cakrābjaśaṅkhasagadaṃ nṛhari namāmi॥
namaskṛtya gaṇādhīśaṃ sarvavighnanivāraṇam।

कपूर-युक्त बल, कंगनों और अन्य छत्रों से युक्त छत्र, त्रिनेत्रधारी, चंद्रशिखर से सुशोभित मुख। नृहरि की बायीं गोद में विराजमान कमल चक्र, शंख और गदा से युक्त उस मनोहर नेत्र को मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ। समस्त विघ्नों को दूर करने वाले गणाधीश को नमस्कार।

Camphor-dwelling strength, umbrella of bracelets and other umbrellas, three-eyed, moon-peak-adorned face. I offer my obeisances to that delightful eye with the lotus disc, conch and club seated on the left lap of Nrihari. Obeisance to the lord of the hosts who removes all obstacles.

नृसिंह कवचम वक्ष्येऽ प्रह्लादनोदितम् पुरा।
सर्वरक्षाकरम् पुण्यं सर्वोपद्रवनाशनम्॥१॥

nṛsiṃha kavacama vakṣye' prahlādanoditam purā।
sarvarakṣākaram puṇyaṃ sarvopadravanāśanam॥1॥

अब मैं प्रह्लाद महाराज द्वारा पूर्व में कहे गए नृसिंह-कवच का पाठ करूँगा। यह परम पवित्र है, सभी प्रकार की बाधाओं को दूर करता है और सम्पूर्ण सुरक्षा प्रदान करता है।

I shall now recite the Nṛsiṁha-kavaca, formerly spoken by Prahlāda Mahārāja. It is most pious, vanquishes all kinds of impediments, and provides one with all protection.

वृत्तस्यं त्रि-नयनं शरद-इंदु-सम-प्रभं।
लक्ष्मयालिङ्गित-वामंगं विभूतिभिर उपाश्रितम्॥३॥

vṛttasyaṃ tri-nayanaṃ śarada-iṃdu-sama-prabhaṃ।
lakṣmayāliṅgita-vāmaṃgaṃ vibhūtibhira upāśritam॥3॥

उनका मुख खुला हुआ है और उनकी तीन आँखें हैं। वे शरद ऋतु के चन्द्रमा के समान तेजस्वी हैं। उनका बायाँ भाग माँ लक्ष्मीदेवी द्वारा आलिंगित है और उनका स्वरूप समस्त भौतिक तथा आध्यात्मिक ऐश्वर्यों का आश्रय है।

His mouth is wide open, and He has three eyes. He is as radiant as the autumn moon. His left side is embraced by mother Lakṣmīdevī, and His form is the shelter of all opulences, both material and spiritual.

चतुर-भुजं कोमलांगं स्वर्ण-कुंडल-शोभितं।
श्रीयासु शोभितोरस्कं रत्न-केयूर-मुद्रितम्॥४॥

catura-bhujaṃ komalāṃgaṃ svarṇa-kuṃḍala-śobhitaṃ।
śrīyāsu śobhitoraskaṃ ratna-keyūra-mudritam॥4॥

भगवान की चार भुजाएँ हैं, उनके अंग अत्यंत कोमल हैं। वे सुन्दर स्वर्ण कुण्डलों से सुशोभित हैं। उनका शक्तिशाली वक्षस्थल कमल पुष्प के समान शोभायमान है और उनकी भुजाएँ रत्नजटित आभूषणों से सुशोभित हैं।

The Lord has four arms, and His limbs are very soft. He is decorated with beautiful golden earrings. His powerful chest is resplendent like the lotus flower, and His arms are decorated with jewel-studded ornaments.

तप्त-कञ्चन-संकाशं पिता-निर्मला-वसासं।
इंद्रादि-सुर-मौलिस्थ स्फुरं माणिक्य-दीप्तिभिः॥५॥

tapta-kañcana-saṃkāśaṃ pitā-nirmalā-vasāsaṃ।
iṃdrādi-sura-maulistha sphuraṃ māṇikya-dīptibhiḥ॥5॥

वे एक बेदाग़ पीले वस्त्र पहने हुए हैं, जो बिल्कुल पिघले हुए सोने जैसा दिखता है। वे संसार के आदि कारण हैं, सांसारिक दायरे से परे। वे स्वर्ग के राजा इंद्र जैसे देवताओं के मुकुट के समान हैं। वे अत्यंत दीप्तिमान माणिक्यों से अलंकृत हैं।

He is dressed in a spotless yellow garment, which exactly resembles molten gold. He is the original cause of existence, beyond the mundane sphere. He is the crowning glory of the demigods, such as Indra, the king of heaven. He is bedecked with rubies, which blaze with effulgence.

विराजित-पाद-द्वन्द्वं शंख-चक्रादि-हेतिभिः।
गरुत्मता च विन्यात् स्तूयमनं मुदान्वितम्॥६॥

virājita-pāda-dvandvaṃ śaṃkha-cakrādi-hetibhiḥ।
garutmatā ca vinyāt stūyamanaṃ mudānvitam॥6॥

उनके चरण अत्यंत आकर्षक हैं और वे शंख, चक्र आदि अनेक दिव्य अस्त्रों से सुसज्जित हैं। वे सदैव परम आनंद से ओतप्रोत रहते हैं। गरुड़ निरंतर उनकी अत्यन्त श्रद्धापूर्वक विनम्र प्रार्थना करते रहते हैं।

His feet are very attractive, and He is armed with various weapons such as the conch, chakra, and other divine weapons. He is always filled with great joy. Garuḍa constantly offers Him humble prayers with great reverence.

स्व-हृत-कमला-संवासम् कृत्वा तु कवचं पठेत।
नृसिंहो मे शिरः पातु लोक-रक्षात्मा-सम्भवः॥७॥

sva-hṛta-kamalā-saṃvāsam kṛtvā tu kavacaṃ paṭheta।
nṛsiṃho me śiraḥ pātu loka-rakṣātmā-sambhavaḥ॥7॥

भगवान नृसिंहदेव को अपने हृदय कमल पर विराजमान करके, मनुष्य को निम्नलिखित मंत्र का जाप करना चाहिए: हे भगवान नृसिंहदेव, जो समस्त लोकों की रक्षा करते हैं, कृपया मेरे मस्तक की रक्षा करें।

Having seated Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva upon the lotus of one’s heart, one should recite the following mantra: May Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva, who protects all the planetary systems, please protect my head.

सर्वगोऽपि स्तम्भ-वासः फलम् मे रक्षतु ध्वनिं।
नृसिंहो मे दृशौ पातु सोम-सूर्याग्नि-लोचनः॥८॥

sarvago'pi stambha-vāsaḥ phalam me rakṣatu dhvaniṃ।
nṛsiṃho me dṛśau pātu soma-sūryāgni-locanaḥ॥8॥

यद्यपि भगवान सर्वव्यापी हैं, फिर भी उन्होंने स्वयं को एक स्तंभ के भीतर छिपा लिया। वे मेरी वाणी और मेरे समस्त कर्मों के परिणामों की रक्षा करें। भगवान नृसिंहदेव, जिनके नेत्र सूर्य और अग्नि हैं, कृपया मेरे नेत्रों की रक्षा करें।

Although the Lord is all-pervading, He hid Himself within a pillar. May He please protect my speech and the results of all my activities. May Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva, whose eyes are the sun and fire, please protect my eyes.

स्मृतिं मे पातु नृहरिर्मुनिवर्यस्तुतिप्रियः।
नासं मे सिंहनासस्तु मुखं लक्ष्मीमुखप्रियः॥९॥

smṛtiṃ me pātu nṛharirmunivaryastutipriyaḥ।
nāsaṃ me siṃhanāsastu mukhaṃ lakṣmīmukhapriyaḥ॥9॥

भगवान नृहरि, जो श्रेष्ठ मुनियों की प्रार्थना से प्रसन्न होते हैं, मेरी स्मृति की रक्षा करें। जिनकी नाक सिंह के समान है, वे मेरी नाक की रक्षा करें और जिनका मुख लक्ष्मी को अत्यंत प्रिय है, वे मेरे मुख की रक्षा करें।

May Lord Nṛhari, who is pleased by the prayers offered by the best of sages, please protect my memory. May He who has the nose of a lion please protect my nose, and may He whose face is very dear to the goddess of fortune please protect my mouth.

नृसिंहः पातु मे कण्ठं स्कन्धौ भूभरान्तकृत्।
दिव्यास्त्रशोभितभुजो नृसिंहः पातु मे भुजौ॥११॥

nṛsiṃhaḥ pātu me kaṇṭhaṃ skandhau bhūbharāntakṛt।
divyāstraśobhitabhujo nṛsiṃhaḥ pātu me bhujau॥11॥

भगवान नृसिंहदेव मेरे कंठ की रक्षा करें। वे पृथ्वी के पालनहार और असीम अद्भुत कार्य करने वाले हैं। उनकी भुजाएँ दिव्य अस्त्रों से शोभायमान हैं। वे मेरे कंधों की रक्षा करें।

May Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva please protect my throat. He is the sustainer of the earth and the performer of unlimitedly wonderful activities. His arms are resplendent with transcendental weapons. May He please protect my shoulders.

करौ मे देववरदो नृसिंहः पातु सर्वतः।
हृदयं योगिसाध्यश्च निवासं पातु मे हरिः॥१२॥ (हृददं)

karau me devavarado nṛsiṃhaḥ pātu sarvataḥ।
hṛdayaṃ yogisādhyaśca nivāsaṃ pātu me hariḥ॥12॥ (hṛdadaṃ)

हे देवताओं को वर देने वाले भगवान् मेरे हाथों की रक्षा करें और सब ओर से मेरी रक्षा करें। हे सिद्ध योगियों को प्राप्त भगवान् मेरे हृदय की रक्षा करें और हे भगवान् हरि मेरे निवास स्थान की रक्षा करें।

May the Lord, who bestows benedictions upon the demigods, please protect my hands, and may He please protect me from all sides. May He who is achieved by the perfect yogīs please protect my heart, and may Lord Hari please protect my dwelling place.

मध्यं पातु हिरण्याक्षवक्षःकुक्षिविदारणः।
नाभिं मे पातु नृहरिः स्वनाभि ब्रह्मसंस्तुतः॥१३॥

madhyaṃ pātu hiraṇyākṣavakṣaḥkukṣividāraṇaḥ।
nābhiṃ me pātu nṛhariḥ svanābhi brahmasaṃstutaḥ॥13॥

जिन्होंने महादैत्य हिरण्यकशिपु की छाती और उदर को विदीर्ण किया था, वे मेरी कमर की रक्षा करें और भगवान नृहरि मेरी नाभि की रक्षा करें। उनकी नाभि से उत्पन्न भगवान ब्रह्मा उनसे प्रार्थना करते हैं।

May He who ripped apart the chest and abdomen of the great demon Hiraṇyakaśipu please protect my waist, and may Lord Nṛhari please protect my navel. He is offered prayers by Lord Brahmā, who has sprung from His own navel.

ब्रह्माण्डकोटयः कट्यां यस्यासौ पातु मे कटिम्।
गुह्यं मे पातु गुह्यानां मन्त्राणां गुह्यरूपदृक्॥१४॥

brahmāṇḍakoṭayaḥ kaṭyāṃ yasyāsau pātu me kaṭim।
guhyaṃ me pātu guhyānāṃ mantrāṇāṃ guhyarūpadṛk॥14॥

जिनके कूल्हों पर समस्त ब्रह्माण्ड स्थित हैं, वे मेरे कूल्हों की रक्षा करें। वे प्रभु मेरे गुप्त अंगों की रक्षा करें। वे सभी मंत्रों और रहस्यों के ज्ञाता हैं, किन्तु स्वयं अदृश्य हैं।

May He, on whose hips rest all the universes please protect my hips. May the Lord please protect my private parts. He is the knower of all mantras and all mysteries, but He Himself is not visible.

ऊरु मनोभवः पातु जानुनी नररूपधृक्।
जङ्घे पातु धराभारहर्ता योऽसौ नृकेसरी॥१५॥

ūru manobhavaḥ pātu jānunī nararūpadhṛk।
jaṅghe pātu dharābhārahartā yo'sau nṛkesarī॥15॥

जो आदि कामदेव हैं, वे मेरी जंघाओं की रक्षा करें। जो मानव रूप धारण करते हैं, वे मेरे घुटनों की रक्षा करें। जो पृथ्वी का भार हरण करते हैं, वे आधे मनुष्य और आधे सिंह रूप में प्रकट होते हैं, वे मेरे पिंडलियों की रक्षा करें।

May He who is the original Cupid please protect my thighs. May He who exhibits a human-like form please protect my knees. May the remover of the burden of the earth, who appears in a form of a half-man half-lion, please protect my calves.

सुरराज्यप्रदः पातु पादौ मे नृहरीश्वरः।
सहस्रशीर्षा पुरुषः पातु मे सर्वशस्तनुम्॥१६॥

surarājyapradaḥ pātu pādau me nṛharīśvaraḥ।
sahasraśīrṣā puruṣaḥ pātu me sarvaśastanum॥16॥

हे दिव्य ऐश्वर्य दाता, मेरे चरणों की रक्षा करें। वे नर और सिंह दोनों रूपों में परम नियंता हैं। वे सहस्र मुख वाले परम भोगी मेरे शरीर की सभी ओर से और सभी प्रकार से रक्षा करें।

May the bestower of heavenly opulence please protect my feet. He is the Supreme Controller in the form of a man and lion combined. May the thousand-headed Supreme enjoyer please protect my body from all sides and in all respects.

महोग्रः पूर्वतः पातु महावीराग्रजोऽग्नितः।
महाविष्णुर्दक्षिणे तु महाज्वालस्तु नैरृतौ॥१७॥

mahograḥ pūrvataḥ pātu mahāvīrāgrajo'gnitaḥ।
mahāviṣṇurdakṣiṇe tu mahājvālastu nairṛtau॥17॥

वे परम तेजस्वी पुरुष पूर्व दिशा से मेरी रक्षा करें। वे जो महान वीरों से भी श्रेष्ठ हैं, अग्निदेव द्वारा शासित दक्षिण-पूर्व दिशा से मेरी रक्षा करें। परम विष्णु दक्षिण दिशा से मेरी रक्षा करें और वे प्रज्वलित तेज वाले परम पुरुष दक्षिण-पश्चिम दिशा से मेरी रक्षा करें।

May that most ferocious personality please protect me from the east. May He who is superior to the greatest heroes please protect me from the southeast, which is presided over by Agni. May the Supreme Viṣṇu please protect me from the south, and may that Supreme Person of blazing luster please protect me from the southwest.

पश्चिमे पातु सर्वेशो दिशि मे सर्वतोमुखः।
नृसिंहः पातु वायव्यां सौम्यां भीषणविग्रहः॥१८॥

paścime pātu sarveśo diśi me sarvatomukhaḥ।
nṛsiṃhaḥ pātu vāyavyāṃ saumyāṃ bhīṣaṇavigrahaḥ॥18॥

सर्वव्यापी भगवान् कृपया पश्चिम दिशा से मेरी रक्षा करें। उनके मुख सर्वत्र हैं, अतः वे इस दिशा से भी मेरी रक्षा करें। भगवान् नृसिंहदेव कृपया उत्तर-पश्चिम दिशा से मेरी रक्षा करें, जहाँ वायु का प्रभुत्व है, और जिनका स्वरूप स्वयं परम आभूषण है, वे कृपया उत्तर दिशा से मेरी रक्षा करें, जहाँ सोम का निवास है।

May the Lord who is all-pervading please protect me from the west. His faces are everywhere, so may He please protect me from this direction. May Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva please protect me from the northwest, which is predominated by Vāyu, and may He whose form is in itself the supreme ornament please protect me from the north, where Soma resides.

ईशान्यां पातु भद्रो मे सर्वमङ्गलदायकः।
संसारभयतः पातु मृत्योर्मृत्युर्नृकेसरी॥१९॥

īśānyāṃ pātu bhadro me sarvamaṅgaladāyakaḥ।
saṃsārabhayataḥ pātu mṛtyormṛtyurnṛkesarī॥19॥

हे सर्वमंगलमय भगवान, जो स्वयं सर्वमंगल प्रदान करते हैं, कृपया सूर्यदेव की दिशा, उत्तर-पूर्व से मेरी रक्षा करें। हे मृत्युस्वरूप भगवान, कृपया इस भौतिक जगत में मृत्यु और घूर्णन के भय से मेरी रक्षा करें।

May the all-auspicious Lord, who Himself bestows all-auspiciousness, please protect me from the northeast, the direction of the sun-god. May He who is death personified please protect me from the fear of death and rotation in this material world.

॥फलश्रुतिः॥
इदं नृसिंहकवचं प्रह्लादमुखमण्डितम्।
भक्तिमान् यः पठेन्नित्यं सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते॥२०॥

॥phalaśrutiḥ॥
idaṃ nṛsiṃhakavacaṃ prahlādamukhamaṇḍitam।
bhaktimān yaḥ paṭhennityaṃ sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate॥20॥

यह नरसिंह-कवच प्रह्लाद महाराज के मुख से निःसृत होकर अलंकृत हुआ है। जो भक्त इसका पाठ करता है, वह सभी पापों से मुक्त हो जाता है।

This Narasimha Kavacha, emanating from the mouth of Prahlada Maharaja, is adorned with ornaments. The devotee who recites it is freed from all sins.

पुत्रवान् धनवान् लोके दीर्घायुरुपजायते।
यं यं कामयते कामं तं तं प्राप्नोत्यसंशयम्॥२१॥

putravān dhanavān loke dīrghāyurupajāyate।
yaṃ yaṃ kāmayate kāmaṃ taṃ taṃ prāpnotyasaṃśayam॥21॥

इस संसार में मनुष्य जो कुछ भी चाहता है, उसे वह बिना किसी संदेह के प्राप्त कर सकता है। उसे धन, अनेक पुत्र और दीर्घायु की प्राप्ति होती है।

Whatever one desires in this world he can attain without doubt. One can have wealth, many sons, and a long life.

सर्वत्र जयमाप्नोति सर्वत्र विजयी भवेत्।
भूम्यन्तरीक्षदिव्यानां ग्रहाणां विनिवारणम्॥२२॥

sarvatra jayamāpnoti sarvatra vijayī bhavet।
bhūmyantarīkṣadivyānāṃ grahāṇāṃ vinivāraṇam॥22॥

जो विजय की इच्छा रखता है, वही विजयी होता है, और वास्तव में विजेता बन जाता है। वह सभी ग्रहों, सांसारिक, स्वर्गीय और बीच की सभी चीज़ों के प्रभाव को दूर कर देता है।

He becomes victorious who desires victory, and indeed becomes a conqueror. He wards off the influence of all planets, earthly, heavenly, and everything in between.

वृश्चिकोरगसम्भूत विषापहरणं परम्।
ब्रह्मराक्षसयक्षाणां दूरोत्सारणकारणम्॥२३॥

vṛścikoragasambhūta viṣāpaharaṇaṃ param।
brahmarākṣasayakṣāṇāṃ dūrotsāraṇakāraṇam॥23॥

यह सर्प और बिच्छुओं के विषैले प्रभाव के लिए सर्वोत्तम उपाय है, तथा ब्रह्मराक्षस, भूत और यक्षों को दूर भगाता है।

It is the best remedy for the poisonous effects of snakes and scorpions, and drives away Brahmarakshasas, ghosts and Yakshas.

भूर्जे वा तालपत्रे वा कवचं लिखितं शुभम्।
करमूले धृतं येन सिध्येयुः कर्मसिद्धयः॥२४॥

bhūrje vā tālapatre vā kavacaṃ likhitaṃ śubham।
karamūle dhṛtaṃ yena sidhyeyuḥ karmasiddhayaḥ॥24॥

कोई भी व्यक्ति इस परम मंगलमय प्रार्थना को सन्टी वृक्ष की छाल या ताड़ के पत्ते पर लिखकर अपनी कलाई पर बांध सकता है, और उसके सभी कार्य पूर्ण हो जाएंगे।

One may inscribe this most auspicious prayer on a birch tree bark or on a palm-leaf and attach it to his wrist, and all his activities will become perfect.

देवासुरमनुष्येषु स्वं स्वमेव जयं लभेत्।
एकसन्ध्यं त्रिसन्ध्यं वा यः पठेन्नियतो नरः॥२५॥

devāsuramanuṣyeṣu svaṃ svameva jayaṃ labhet।
ekasandhyaṃ trisandhyaṃ vā yaḥ paṭhenniyato naraḥ॥25॥

जो व्यक्ति इस स्तुति का नियमित रूप से जप करता है, चाहे वह एक बार या तीन बार (प्रतिदिन) हो, वह देवताओं, राक्षसों या मनुष्यों के बीच विजयी हो जाता है।

One who regularly chants this prayer, whether once or thrice (daily), he becomes victorious whether among demigods, demons, or human beings.

सर्वमङ्गलमाङ्गल्यं भुक्तिं मुक्तिं च विन्दति।
द्वात्रिंशतिसहस्राणि पठेत् शुद्धात्मनां नृणाम्॥२६॥

sarvamaṅgalamāṅgalyaṃ bhuktiṃ muktiṃ ca vindati।
dvātriṃśatisahasrāṇi paṭhet śuddhātmanāṃ nṛṇām॥26॥

जो मनुष्य शुद्ध हृदय से इस स्तुति का 32,000 बार पाठ करता है, वह सभी शुभों में से सबसे शुभ को प्राप्त करता है, तथा ऐसे व्यक्ति को भौतिक भोग और मोक्ष पहले से ही उपलब्ध माना जाता है।

One who, with a purified heart, recites this prayer 32,000 times attains the most auspicious of all auspicious things, and material enjoyment and liberation are already understood to be available to such a person.

कवचस्यास्य मन्त्रस्य मन्त्रसिद्धिः प्रजायते।
अनेन मन्त्रराजेन कृत्वा भस्माभिमन्त्रणम्॥२७॥

kavacasyāsya mantrasya mantrasiddhiḥ prajāyate।
anena mantrarājena kṛtvā bhasmābhimantraṇam॥27॥

यह कवच-मंत्र सभी मंत्रों का राजा है। इससे वह सब प्राप्त होता है जो भस्म लगाकर तथा अन्य सभी मंत्रों का जाप करके प्राप्त होता है।

This Kavacha-mantra is the king of all mantras. One attains by it what would be attained by anointing oneself with ashes and chanting all other mantras.

तिलकं विन्यसेद्यस्तु तस्य ग्रहभयं हरेत्।
त्रिवारं जपमानस्तु दत्तं वार्यभिमन्त्र्य च॥२८॥

tilakaṃ vinyasedyastu tasya grahabhayaṃ haret।
trivāraṃ japamānastu dattaṃ vāryabhimantrya ca॥28॥

शरीर पर तिलक लगाकर, जल से आचमन करके तथा इस मंत्र का तीन बार जप करने से सभी अशुभ ग्रहों का भय दूर हो जाता है।

Having marked one's body with tilaka, taking Achamana with water, and reciting this mantra three times, one will find that the fear of all inauspicious planets is removed.

प्राशयेद्यो नरो मन्त्रं नृसिंहध्यानमाचरेत्।
तस्य रोगाः प्रणश्यन्ति ये च स्युः कुक्षिसम्भवाः॥२९॥

prāśayedyo naro mantraṃ nṛsiṃhadhyānamācaret।
tasya rogāḥ praṇaśyanti ye ca syuḥ kukṣisambhavāḥ॥29॥

जो व्यक्ति भगवान नरसिंहदेव का ध्यान करते हुए इस मंत्र का पाठ करता है, उसके पेट सहित सभी रोग नष्ट हो जाते हैं।

That person who recites this mantra, meditating upon Lord Narasinhadeva, has all of his diseases vanquished, including those of the abdomen.

किमत्र बहुनोक्तेन नृसिंहसदृशो भवेत्।
मनसा चिन्तितं यत्तु स तच्चाप्नोत्यसंशयम्॥३०॥

kimatra bahunoktena nṛsiṃhasadṛśo bhavet।
manasā cintitaṃ yattu sa taccāpnotyasaṃśayam॥30॥

और क्या कहा जाए? नरसिंह के साथ गुणात्मक एकता प्राप्त होती है। इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं कि ध्यान करने वाले के मन की इच्छाएँ पूरी होंगी।

Why should more be said? One acquires qualitative oneness with Narasimha himself. There is no doubt that the desires in the mind of one who meditates will be granted.

गर्जन्तं गर्जयन्तं निजभुजपटलं स्फोटयन्तं हठन्तं
रूप्यन्तं तापयन्तं दिवि भुवि दितिजं क्षेपयन्तं क्षिपन्तम्।
क्रन्दन्तं रोषयन्तं दिशि दिशि सततं संहरन्तं भरन्तं
वीक्षन्तं घूर्णयन्तं शरनिकरशतैर्दिव्यसिंहं नमामि॥३१॥

garjantaṃ garjayantaṃ nijabhujapaṭalaṃ sphoṭayantaṃ haṭhantaṃ
rūpyantaṃ tāpayantaṃ divi bhuvi ditijaṃ kṣepayantaṃ kṣipantam।
krandantaṃ roṣayantaṃ diśi diśi satataṃ saṃharantaṃ bharantaṃ
vīkṣantaṃ ghūrṇayantaṃ śaranikaraśatairdivyasiṃhaṃ namāmi॥31॥

भगवान नरसिंह ज़ोर से गर्जना करते हैं और दूसरों को भी गर्जना करने के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं। अपनी असंख्य भुजाओं से वे इस प्रकार राक्षसों को चीरकर उनका संहार करते हैं। वे इस पृथ्वीलोक और परलोक दोनों में दिति के राक्षसी वंशजों को खोजकर उन्हें कष्ट देते रहते हैं, और भगवान उन्हें नीचे गिराकर तितर-बितर कर देते हैं। वे सभी दिशाओं में राक्षसों का संहार करते हुए अत्यंत क्रोध से गर्जना करते हैं, फिर भी अपनी असीम भुजाओं से वे ब्रह्मांडीय जगत का पालन, संरक्षण और पोषण करते हैं। मैं उन भगवान को सादर प्रणाम करता हूँ, जिन्होंने दिव्य सिंह का रूप धारण किया है।

Lord Narasinha roars and causes others to roar. With His multitude of arms, He tears the demons asunder and kills them in this way. He is always seeking out and tormenting the demonic descendants of Diti, both on this earth planet and in the higher planets, and He throws them down and scatters them. He shouts with great anger as He destroys the demons in all directions, yet with His unlimited hands He sustains, protects, and nourishes the cosmic manifestation. I offer my respectful obeisances to the Lord, who has assumed the form of a transcendental lion.
